MOVIES: Oh Merida, I already have a crush on you.
Today Pixar released a 2 minute clip from their upcoming movie, Brave. I was already excited for this movie but now I am downright ecstatic. It looks to be everything we love from Pixar but with an incredible female protagonist and the promise of greater adventure than we've previously seen from the studio. The clip has beautiful imagery, humor, heart and more. Merida looks to be an incredible protagonist and I can't wait to see her embark on her adventure. Ok, enough blabbing, watch the clip now!!!

MOVIES: Oh man...this is gunna be epic.
Hot on the heels of yesterday's screenshots, today Pixar has released the newest trailer for BRAVE! In short...it looks incredible. This trailer reveals much more of the story than the previous trailer and introduces us to some new characters as well. Needless to say it gets me even more excited for the movie if that was even possible. BRAVE hits theaters June 22, 2012!!!

MOVIES: This makes me tingle with excitement.
After Pixar's first misfire with Cars 2 I think we all hoped that they would learn their lesson and come back with something incredible the next year. Well over the past several months we've been hearing and seeing a little bit about BRAVE, the next movie from Pixar set to release June 22, 2012. Not only does BRAVE look like it will be infinitely better than Cars 2 but to me it looks like it's shaping up to be Pixar's best film to date. Well today a few more screen shots of the film were released and not only do they look absolutely breathtaking but they show us some characters who, until this point, we had only heard about. The first shows what I assume to be the main character Merida's parents, the king and queen along with who will perhaps be her sister who looks bored with her responsibilities and also what I'm hoping are three triplet baby brothers who look hilarious just from the image. The second shot shows Merida being mesmerized by the mysterious blue force that we caught glimpses of in the short trailer that was released and the last picture shows a trio of Scots who look like quite the interesting bunch. For those of you that don't know, BRAVE tells the story of Merida, a princess from the Scottish Highlands who is bored with her life. One day she meets a deceptive witch and ends up casting an ill-fated wish which sets some sort of evil over her land. The responsibility falls on Merida to find a way to save her people and discover her true role in her kingdom. Sound awesome? Yea I know it does.

MOVIES: Yes! Yes yes yes yes!
So if you didn't know my opinion, Lion King in 3D was incredible. I don't care that it was Disney blatantly taking more of my money to see a movie that I've seen millions of times in theaters, it was worth it. Walking out of the the theater I couldn't wait for the inevitable follow ups of re-releases in 3D. Well here they come! Disney has announced that Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo and Monsters Inc. will all be re-released in 3D! This is the best news today and the iPhone 4S is freaking awesome.
Release dates!:
Beauty and the Beast - January 13, 2012
Finding Nemo - September 14, 2012
Monsters Inc. - January 18, 2013
The Little Mermaid - September 13, 2013

D23: Future plans for 2 Pixar projects revealed!
So this weekend is D23, the big Disney Expo that we should get some awesome news from. Well @DisneyPixar has just tweeted,
UPDATE: The dinosaur movie is set for release in 2013.
ALSO!
@DisneyPixar has tweeted,
UPDATE: Pete Docter's movie is set to release in 2014.

"What if that life-changing asteroid missed Earth? Director Bob Peterson’s hilarious tale depicts a world where dinosaurs never went extinct."So it sounds like one of the upcoming Pixar films will be about a world that is still inhabited by dinosaurs. Now personally, I'm a sucker for dinosaurs. They're freaking awesome and it's easy for someone to make something dinosaur related that I enjoy. That being said, my expectations for a Pixar made dinosaur movie will be insanely high. You now have a studio that has literally made 10 nearly perfect films with only 2 "duds" if you could call the Cars films that, making a movie about dinosaurs!

ALSO!
@DisneyPixar has tweeted,
"From director Pete Docter comes an inventive new film that explores a world that everyone knows, but no one has seen: inside the human mind."In case you don't know, Pete Docter directed Monsters Inc. and UP. If you don't like either of those then there's something wrong with your very soul. Anyways, this certainly sounds original and I can't wait to see how they approach it. Oh man, I'm pumped. I'll update this article as more details are released throughout the weekend!

MOVIES: Bleh, Cars 2 DVD release soonish.
The only reason I'm going to purchase the DVD of Cars 2 is because I already own the entire Pixar collection and it just wouldn't be right to leave one out, no matter how disappointing it was. Anyways, it hits shelves on November 1st. If you have kids, they'll love it, if you've grown accustomed to getting emotionally involved with Pixar's characters, don't expect much.
