VIDEO GAMES: Patience young padawans.

Yes, as was expected by most of us, Diablo III has been delayed once again. Initially Blizzard was shooting for a release in the first quarter of this year, but there are still substantial changes and improvements being made to the game which will take some time. Gamespot is reporting that the new launch window for D3 is sometime between April and June. Honestly I know this will upset a lot of people, but I'd much rather Blizzard take their time and make sure they're giving us one of the best PC games ever made. I know they wouldn't delay unless they felt that changes really needed to be made before the game was perfected. Obviously sales will be off the charts and it will be a huge financial boost for the company so it's clear that they have good reason to keep holding off. So now we wait, impatiently for most, but wait we must. Diablo III I know you'll be worth it.

VIDEO GAMES: Diablo III may be just around the corner!

So apparently some Best Buy in Minnesota decided to put up a very real sign counting down to the midnight release of Diablo III. And apparently that sign was counting down towards February 1st which, if you look at the calendar, is pretty stinking close! Since then, Blizzard has stated on Twitter that there is still no release date for the game and the Best Buy has removed the sign. But still, that sign is real, like it exists and Blizzard has clearly shipped them to retailers. Whether or not the specific February 1st date was correct is perhaps less relevant than the fact that if they're already sending out the final promotional stuff, we can't be far from the release.

VIDEO GAMES: Diablo III is gunna be hella popular.

Get it? Hella...like hell...like diablo...nevermind. Anyways this video came out today that gives some more information on the highly anticipated Diablo III game and it's nice to see some solid video of the actual gameplay. From what we've seen so far it looks like the new Diablo will do it's best to build on the successes of Diablo II while treading some new ground as far as requiring a constant internet connection so peoples' characters are saved on Blizzard's servers to prevent people from hacking the game and implementing auction houses where people can spend real money for items and upgrades (not sure how I feel about that though). Anyways, if you haven't been following any information on D3, this video is a good way to get acquainted with it.
