VIDEO GAMES: Blizzard Free to Play?
Rumors have surfaced today that Blizzard, developer of World of Warcraft, Diablo and Starcraft, is making a new free to play game. That's pretty much the extent of the rumor, and it's just that...a rumor. We already know they're working on their next MMO code named Titan and it remains unclear whether or not this free to play announcement refers to that game or not. I've always thought that Blizzard should work on more that just their 3 pivotal franchises as I'd love to see more titles from the company, but only time will tell whether or not this new rumor has any truth to it. What would you like to see from Blizzard in the coming years? Excited for Diablo III? Mists of Pandaria?

VIDEO GAMES: More Xbox 720 rumors!
So yesterday I posted an article that revealed some newfound rumors about the "Xbox 720." They said the system would be six times more powerful than current generation and would be set for a late 2013 release. Well this morning more rumors have surfaced. Now they're saying the system will support blu-ray discs, might not support used games and will come with the next version of Kinect pre-installed. The blu-ray would be nice but I'm not sure how many people purchase the PS3 for that reason specifically. I'm not sure how they would implement the idea of the system not playing used games but if they could find a way to do it I'm totally on board. I hate to see developers getting shortchanged when people opt out of paying more than $10 for some truly great games. Now as far as shipping with the next iteration of Kinect? It's insane how little I could possibly care about that. So whether or not these rumors have any truth to them will be told in time. We shall see.

VIDEO GAMES: The PS4 will be sweet!
But we'll have to wait quite a while before we hear any details on the thing. In response to recent rumors that both the PS4 and Xbox 720 (or whatever they will be called) would be revealed at E3 this year, Kaz Hirai stated, "...we are not making any announcements at E3. I've always said a 10 year life cycle for PS3, and there is no reason to go away from that." To be honest I readily agree with him. Right now the 360 and PS3 systems are getting pushed to their limits but we've honestly been getting some of the best games we have ever seen. It also seems that gaming is in limbo right now and could go in one of several ways over the next few years. I think it would be wise for both Microsoft and Sony to be patient when deciding how to proceed with their next generation of consoles. What about you? Would you like to see new consoles on the shelves by 2013?

MOVIES: Who will be the villain in Star Trek 2?
Benicio Del Toro has dropped out of playing the villain in the much anticipated Star Trek 2. Apparently an agreement could not be met over monetary issues which is a bummer because I thought Del Toro would make an excellent villain in JJ Abrams Trek universe. It probably won't be long before a replacement is named since filming is set to begin in January. There have been quite a few rumors over the last couple of weeks that Khan will be the villain in Trek 2. This would no doubt be awesome as Khan is perhaps the most notorious villain from the Star Trek saga. I have no doubt that Abrams won't settle on whoever he selects to play the baddie as his love for sci-fi and cinema always seem to show in his work. I'm pumped for Star Trek 2 and can't wait to see who ends up playing the villain!

TELEVISION: These Arrested Development rumors will be the death of me.
For those of us who love Arrested Development, the constant rumors about the movie finally being made are sometimes too much to handle. The idea of seeing the Bluth family on screen once more is so awesome that everytime the movie seems to get put on the back burner it sucks! But now we have an even newer rumor to get excited about! IGN is reporting that series creator Mitch Hurwitz has stated that they would like Arrested Development to come back to television for one more mini-season before working on the actual film. The idea that's in place is a season of about 9-10 episodes in which each episode focuses on catching up with a specific character. I love the idea and if it actually happens I'll be in a permanent state of euphoria until the episodes air. But for now, I'm taking every rumor with a massive grain of salt.
UPDATE: Jason Bateman has all but confirmed the rumor via his Twitter account! Stating: "It's true. We will do 10 episodes and the movie. Probably shoot them all together next summer for a release in early '13. VERY excited!"

MOVIES: Do you love Arrested Development?
Ya, me too. For a long time now there has been continuous rumors about an Arrested Development movie. A way to give a proper sendoff to these characters that suffered from low viewership while the show was on air but has since gathered a massive following. Well today a big rumor has popped up on Screen Rant which claims to have the actual synopsis of the Arrested Development movie!
Ron Howard is making a movie about the Bluths using an A-List cast. But Dr. Tobias plays himself because nobody wants to play him in the movie. The Bluths decide to make their own movie in contention with Ron Howard’s.What do you think? If this is the actual synopsis of the movie I think it could be absolutely hilarious. Sounds like the perfect plot for the AD cast. Anyways, it's just a rumor for now...keep those fingers crossed!
