MINECON: Yay it's Minecon!

Yes, it is a convention dedicated entirely to a game that has yet to be officially released! Las Vegas is the home of the first official Minecon in history which will take place over the next couple of days. The convention is obviously sold out and should be a good time for those lucky enough to attend this weekend. I still find it mind boggling that a game has found this much popularity over such a short amount of time while it is still in beta. I think it's because the game takes us back to our Lego days. Sitting on the floor, surrounded by blocks, building whatever our hearts desired. Only limited by your imagination, almost anything is possible to construct in Minecraft. We should get our first looks at the Xbox version of Minecraft this weekend and I'm sure we'll get news on the big release of the game as well as any future endeavors onto platforms. I promise you I'll have more Minecon posts than Breaking Dawn posts.
