MOVIES: Bullies Beware

Well today Sony has released the first clip of The Amazing Spider-Man and apparently it's a scene where Peter Parker faces off against a school bully. I say apparently because I'm refraining from watching the thing. I already think trailers these days give away too many aspects of the movies, but watching clips is something that hasn't really interested me. I like to be surprised when I finally see the movie. But it sounds like this scene tries to hearken back to the Raimi movies when Parker fights the school bully in the hallway. So check it out if that's your kind of thing!

MOVIES: Match made in heaven.

Do you love Parks and Rec? Are you excited for The Amazing Spider Man? Do you find yourself struggling to fall asleep some nights wishing that you could see Jean-Ralphio as the masked super hero? Well then this incredible video by the people over at College Humor is for you! Seriously this is one of the best mash-ups I've seen in a long time. Not only is any video featuring Jean-Ralphio quotes automatically awesome, but the fact that he looks like Peter Parker and the video is so well done makes this all the more amazing. So if you haven't already, check it out now!

MOVIES: Oh please be amazing!

Well the newest trailer for The Amazing Spider Man just went live and it still doesn't have me fully convinced we need a spidey reboot, but it also doesn't do anything to make me less excited. The trailer itself looks fantastic. The Lizard looks like an awesome villain, Andrew Garfield seems like the perfect Peter Parker, I've always had a crush on Emma Stone and the set pieces look fantastic. I just hope this movie can find its own identity apart form the recent Sam Raimi entries in the franchise. I know this one is supposed to be truer to the comics and hopefully that really shines through in the final product. Where do you stand with The Amazing Spider Man? Excited? Apprehensive? A little of both?
