VIDEO GAMES: Bummer man

The man, the myth, the absolute legend Shigeru Miyamoto is stepping down from his post at Nintendo. If you're not familiar with Miyamoto he's the guy who you should be thanking for characters like Zelda and Mario because he freaking created them. He won't be leaving the company completely as he will stay on to work on some smaller projects but he will no longer act as Senior Managing Director and General Manager of Nintendo's Entertainment Analysis and Development Division. So it's a bummer that he's stepping down but it sounds like he's confident in his replacements and I think it's safe to say that his career has been a success. So thank you Mr. Miyamoto for giving me some of the best memories of my childhood. You will be missed.

UPDATE: Apparently Nintendo is stating that this information is in fact false. I'm confused now since every major gaming site was reporting on it which usually won't happen unless something is officially confirmed. Especially something of this magnitude. So right now I'm not sure whether or not Miyamoto has actually stepped down. It'll probably be straightened out by the end of today!

Gosh how sad is this image?!
