MOVIES: Dah duh, duh duh da duh

That right there is the theme song for Mission Impossible in case you couldn't tell. Over the Christmas weekend it finally released on a wide scale and it resulted in first place in the box office! I saw it in IMAX and I can tell you it is worth the $20 to see it on the big screen and not just for the Batman prologue. It took the top spot with a 4-day total of $46.2 million. Second place went to Sherlock Holmes which grabbed $31.8 million to bring its total up to an impressive $90 million after only two weeks. Third place saw Alvin and the Chipmunks with $13 million followed by The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo which took in $19.4 million as well as some Oscar buzz. Adventures of Tin Tin rounded out the top 5 with $16.1 million. All in all it was a strong weekend at the box office with plenty of great films to choose from. Did you see any? Are you looking forward to seeing any?
